The Madison West High Area Collaborative* is an educational barriers relief effort for the West High School attendance area. As a collaborative of PTO/PFO’s and community members representing all schools within the West High attendance area, our values consist of: every student deserves food, every student deserves access to education, every student deserves access to health, every student deserves access to a place to lay their head. We need to consistently look at barriers that systems create for our families including our education system. We value connection to our families and partnership with community programs. We will continuously listen to our families, learn from our families, find creative strategies and abolish the white power systems that harm our families of color.
*The Madison West High Area Collaborative is not a legal entity. We are a group of PTO/PFA’s working collectively in partnership with community organizations. School district staff work collectively with community organizations on family needs and resources.
